It is ten years since Maya Vision International first came to Kibworth to plan an eight-part series for BBC4 about the history of the area.
It was a ground-breaking series (no pun intended) because it drew the community together in digging up their past over a weekend of community archaeology (of which I played a co-ordinating role) and telling the story of their ancestors. It set the stage for many future community projects.
Today, watching those episodes is a moving experience. We should be immensely proud of the achievement and always thankful to my very good friend Professor Michael Wood for bringing his expertise and experience to Kibworth.
Here he is, in a photograph I took on 16th July 2008, digging up the car park of the Coach and Horses (as you do!).
