The Covid 'Road Map' in detail
The Government's 'road map' involves a gradual easing of the current restrictions on travelling, socialising, and the operation of businesses and services.
The precise timescale will depend on four tests or provisos which include the uninterrupted continuation of the vaccination programme and no substantial increase in pressure on NHS services as a result of a rise in the infection rate.
There are separate plans for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
