Provided research for Michael Wood's Story of England

In 2010/11, the villages of Kibworth Beauchamp, Kibworth Harcourt and Smeeton Westerby became the focus of a groundbreaking new series for BBC Television written and presented by TV historian Michael Wood.    I was privileged to have been able to work with his team on research and by organising the now-famous 'community dig' in which over fifty families dug test pits in their gardens and some public open spaces.

As well as bringing the community together in a engaging and meaningful project, the series provided valuable archaeological evidence which is now being used whenever major planning applications are being considered.
