Funding secured for Tugby Village Hall

Tugby & Keythorpe Parish Council has secured a community grant from Harborough District Council to improve access to the North Memorial Hall in the village.  The funding will enable a block paving path and designated disabled parking bays to be laid out.

The Hall was built in the 1980s and is well-used for meetings and recreational activities; but access for users of wheelchairs and mobility scooters does not meet modern standards or expectations.

Until now, disabled users were expected to negotiate a small uneven path along the side of the building and past gas cylinders to enter the hall through a loading bay.

The money has come from Harborough District Council's Community Grants Fund, formerly known as New Homes Bonus funding.
